Komahskwema’a (Wyandot Green Corn ceremonies)

Komahskwema’a was held last Thursday down at our spring. A beautiful day,for ceremonies, people were named and ceremonial dances were danced on the earth and the songs echoed against the limestone bluff cheered on by the clear spring flow. After ceremonies and a feast of our corn soup and a great pot-luck, we played the peach seed game ,men against women, and then we danced social dances.
